Forget Bhutto, It's The Stans
(Conspiracy Nation, 12/28/07)
-- "Forget it, Jake. It's Chinatown." Forget it, conspiracy theorist.
It's the Stans.
Pakistan, part of the Stans, those asian countries whose names end in
"stan", witnessed an assassination yesterday. Benazir Bhutto was shot
dead by a zombie, just as earlier this month a different zombie was
unleashed in an Omaha shopping mall.
Another zombie unleashment occurred in San Francisco a few days ago.
There, a tiger somehow escaped its zoo enclosure and killed and mauled
persons. In the tiger case, the radar indicates a cover-up. Early
reports received by police were that several tigers had escaped.
Newfakers put out a "taunted tiger" narrative, then changed it to a low
wall narrative. The most obvious reason, that a cage door had been
open, is discountenanced. The tiger terror is traced to repressed
hostility, similar to how savage dogs somehow get loose in
neighborhoods.
The Bhutto murder roughly marks the winter solstice. Last year, the
winter solstice coincided with the botched hanging of Saddam Hussein.
The 2007 Easter (equinox) was marked by the symbolic crucifixion of Don
Imus. Then, around the autumn equinox, rumors began to be heard: "He
(Imus) has risen."
When Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated, Sherman H. Skolnick almost
immediately cried out, "The guards permitted it!" So too in the case of
Benazir Bhutto. "The most astounding aspect of Thursday's events is the
negligence displayed by Bhutto's security detail." ("Conspiracy
theories abound over Benazir Bhutto slaying," by Yossi Melman. Haaretz,
Dec. 28, 2007). Imran Khan, long-time friend of Bhutto, "said he was
shocked that assassins got so close to her." ("How did the killers get
so close to Bhutto?" by Richard Edwards. London Telegraph, Dec. 28,
2007)
Conveniently, a Lee Harvey Oswald almost immediately appeared and took
responsibility for the Bhutto slaying. Big Al Qaeda did it. Case
closed. Except already speculation leads elsewhere as to those
responsible. Because yesterday's zombie blew himself to pieces after
his deed, it becomes difficult to immediately identify whose man he is.
("Whose man are you?" demanded
Bill the Butcher of the dying failed assassin, in "Gangs Of New York").
It was India that plotted Bhutto's death, to discredit Pakistan. No, it
was Musharraf, her political rival. No, it was former prime minister
Nawaz Sharif. (Melman, op. cit.)
The "Sharif did it" angle is that, aligned with Bhutto, Sharif is now a
shoo-in to win big in upcoming Pakistani elections.
Who will benefit? (Cui bono?)
Will U.S. forces enter Pakistan "to restore order"?
We learn from Haaretz (Melman, op. cit.) that Pakistan is "considered
one of the world's most fertile breeding grounds for conspiracy
theories..." We did not know this before. On the map where it says
"Pakistan," put "fertile breeding grounds for conspiracy theories."
Pakistan is also in the business of cement, fertilizer, gas, oil
terminal and distribution, breakfast cereals, and steel companies.
("Musharraf's Core Constituency," by C. N. Anand. Desicritics.org, Dec.
28, 2007)
But do we here in the U.S. really care about that faraway land called
Pakistan? We vaguely know it is one of those "stan" places. So forget
it, Jake. It's Pakistan.
