Hal Turner, FBI Agent Provocateur?

(Conspiracy Nation, 01/18/08)Back in February of 2006, Conspiracy Nation reported as follows:

Also stirring up trouble is agent provocateur Hal Turner. At his web site Hal says the most outrageous things, sometimes so provocative one wonders how he gets away with it. It's all in a day's work for the Aryan aficionado, who brushes off routine visits by the FBI. Is one being a "race traitor" to suggest Hal in fact works for the U.S. government, part of a sting operation?

The above was reported on February 25, 2006. (“It Ain't Over Until...” http://www.shout.net/~bigred/FatLadySings.html). On January 11, 2008, one week ago, the Southern Poverty Law Center issued a report: “Neo-Nazi Threatmaker Accused of Working for FBI” (http://www.splcenter.org/blog/2008/01/11/neo-nazi-threatmaker-accused-of-working-for-fbi/). The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) story reads, in part: “Hal Turner is one serious extremist. He may also be on the FBI payroll.”

Reportedly, unknown hackers cracked Turner's web site and discovered e-mail messages between the racist caricature and his FBI handler. “'Once again,' Turner writes to his handler, 'my fierce rhetoric has served to flush out a possible crazy.' In what is allegedly a portion of another E-mail, Turner discusses the money he is paid.” (SPLC report, op. cit.)

Turner has apparently fled back into the bowels of the Federal government, from whence he came. Early reports are he has discontinued his propaganda work.

The Turner situation potentially opens up a whole can of worms. This is apparently why the SPLC report on Turner is not being covered by the mass media. Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is usually considered credible by the newsfakers. So why, instead of the “Turner FBI Agent Provocateur” story, are we getting truckloads of Tiger Zoo Attack stories? The answer involves, in part, a recent push for “Hate Speech” laws.

Around Easter of 2007, radio host Don Imus came under severe criticism. He had mimicked prevalent slang used by many blacks. For this minor blemish, Imus was cast out into the wilderness. Senator Ted Kennedy and others exerted their powers to slip through legislation contrary to the spirit of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Now, with the Turner outing, the question arises: Was Turner the Tweedledee to the “Hate Speech” Tweedledum? Was Turner used as sort of a casus belli to provoke a clampdown on freedom of speech? Something was definitely happening behind-the-scenes around April of last year. Even the Conspiracy Nation editor was subjected to intimidation at the time.

Hey, newsfakers! We've heard plenty about the tiger attack story. How about giving equivalent coverage to the Southern Poverty Law Center's “FBI & Hal Turner Complicity” report?
