Slippery Election, “One For The Books”

(Conspiracy Nation, 05/07/08) – This election season is not half-over, yet already it is “one for the books.” Mostly based on personal memory, here are some highlights:

  1. Tons of debates, some involving the latest technology including video questions from average persons (but screened always by the newsfakers.) “Hooray for technology” was a subtext. Remember when it began, and there were so many candidates?

  2. The Iowa caucuses, with rumors of Illinois voters sneaking into Iowa. Mike Huckabee and Barack Obama win big. Rush Limbaugh does not favor Huckabee. There are mutterings from the newsfakers, “What is populism?”

  3. One of the candidates, Ron Paul, can be seen in several debates. But the newsfakers have vision problems: to them Ron Paul is invisible. His ideas are never considered openly by the MSM (mainstream media). There is, instead, talk of the “dreaded” populism.

  4. The New Hampshire primary. Rumors of New York state voters being bused in to vote for Hillary Clinton. Suspicious results, defying poll predictions, give Ms. Clinton a boost. The New York Times newspaper, amazingly, endorses two “opposition” candidates: John McCain and Hillary Clinton. How can you be for two persons having opposite viewpoints?

  5. Based on recollection, it was soon thereafter that John McCain, member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission, clinched the Republican nomination. Other remaining candidates appeared on Saturday Night Live, to show they were humans and not mirthless reptilians.

  6. John Edwards dropped out and Rush Limbaugh stopped calling him “the Breck girl.” The Democrat field was now an “uncivil war” between Hillary Clinton (oppressed women) and Barack Obama (oppressed blacks). The third hard-luck candidate, John McCain, had suffered for years as a prisoner-of-war. (“Three Hard-Luck Candidates”, http://www.shout.net/~bigred/HardLuck.html)

  7. Conspiracy Nation, monitoring the Rush Limbaugh broadcasts as a daily penance, eavesdrops into plans. “CINC-USOC” Limbaugh orders his “ditto heads” to pretend they are Democrats and vote for Hillary Clinton in state primaries. Limbaugh laughs with glee as the two oppressed Democrat candidates vie for who is the more oppressed. It is a law of physics: two oppressed persons cannot occupy the same space and time.

  8. Eavesdropping in the Republican camp, Conspiracy Nation learns of Limbaugh's plan to “bloody up” Barack Obama. Gas stations sport huge American flags but Obama does not wear even a tiny flag on his lapel. Shocking! Like “decisive” primaries caught in a “Groundhog Day” time loop, a short clip of Rev. Jeremiah Wright gets played over and over and over and...

  9. Some “Dinosaurs” of the black leadership, comfortable with oppressed status like it is an old shoe, may have begun knifing Barack Obama in the back. First, Count Dracula Farrakhan is wildly enthusiastic about Obama. It is like a “kiss of death.” (“I vant to suck your blood.”) Then the Rev. Wright reverberates in the news under his own power, bouncing beyond the time loop. But Oprah Winfrey dares to honestly favor a man (Obama) over an oppressed woman (Hillary Clinton). For this she is chastised by the so-called feminists. Rev. Al Sharpton, a “taunted tiger,” walks a thin line. (“Al Sharpton, A Taunted Tiger,” http://www.shout.net/~bigred/SharptonTiger.html)

  10. There is all sorts of symbolism: taunted tigers, snarling bears, a euthanized horse race, and more to come. (“Symbolism Of The Bear,” http://www.shout.net/~bigred/GrizzlyBear.html)

  11. In Pennsylvania, the two oppressed Democrat candidates slug it out over who gets to be Rocky Balboa. There was, writes Matt Taibbi, “a surprisingly serious argument over which camp had the right to invoke 'Rocky' references in their Pennsylvania campaign rhetoric – an argument settled, amazingly, when Gov. Ed Rendell declared 'by executive order' that the right was Hillary's alone.” (“Hillary's Bitter Victory,” Rolling Stone magazine, May 15, 2008)

  12. Yesterday, in Indiana, Hillary “Rocky” Clinton contested with Barack “Professor” Obama. Thanks to “CINC-USOC” Limbaugh's “ditto head” army, Ms. Clinton narrowly averted a disastrous loss. Today, on his radio show, the “CINC-USOC” was bold as brass. He championed the plight of the oppressed women and urged them not to give up on Hillary Clinton. Hear that, “feminists”? Rush Limbaugh is now on your side!

It would take a Hunter Thompson to properly do justice to the tale of the 2008 slippery election. It is “one for the books.” Hunter Thompson's ashes have been shot from the barrel of a cannon, so Matt Taibbi is the best we've got. Is a book in the works? Will it fully capture how ridiculous it's been?
