Svengali Tactics Of Just One Day

(Conspiracy Nation, 01/29/08) – Behind the scenes, battling magicians fired sorcery salvos yesterday. But you wouldn't know this overtly from mainstream news reports. Yesterday was a big day in the occult battle for the Democrat presidential nomination. Sleep not, for the hour is nigh.

Svengali for the Hillary Clinton campaign is Mark Penn. Matt Taibbi scores again with another worthwhile report in the latest Rolling Stone magazine, where he delves into Penn. “The Clintons are back,” writes Taibbi, “running things as they always have, with their back-stabbing, inside-baseball mastery, their fanatical, almost religious pursuit of the political fork in the road, their boundless faith in ruthless corporate bagmen of the [Mark] Penn genus and other such faceless electoral point-shavers.” (“The New Nixon,” by Matt Taibbi. Penn is the Clintons' Karl Rove. The Clinton Svengali handles things like “empty PR ploys on the level of a staged crying fit and a series of back-channel character attacks.” (Taibbi, op. cit.)

Yesterday, of course, Barack Obama received the endorsement of Dem Party elder statesman Ted Kennedy. And on that very same day, of all possible days, Antoin "Tony" Rezko was roused at daybreak from his Wilmette mansion by federal agents and ordered jailed by a judge. The Rezko arrest seemed to supplant the Kennedy endorsement in the news headlines. The Obama boost news from the Kennedys was under siege, since the Illinois senator is linked with Rezko.

But then, news reports began to include that Hillary Clinton had been photographed with Rezko. By the time Ted Kennedy publicly praised Obama, the surprise Rezko story had been muted.

Could there be a deeper news angle in this? Might some reporter still have bloodhound ability? On the exact same day of the Kennedy endorsement, seeming to pre-empt it in the daily happenings, Tony Rezko is “roused at daybreak from his Wilmette mansion by federal agents.” Remember: Mark Penn, the Clinton Svengali, is responsible for “empty PR ploys on the level of a staged crying fit and a series of back-channel character attacks.” Besides Taibbi (op. cit.), what other reporter is noticing such things?

Taibbi, in his report, mentions a “staged crying fit.” That happened in New Hampshire, just before Hillary Clinton's miraculous apparent victory in that state's primary. But Conspiracy Nation has reported on how ward-heelers from the New York political machine entered New Hampshire and cast ballots. Others suspect vote count tampering along with computer vote fraud. A slow-as-molasses recount is underway in New Hampshire. The no-nose news “bloodhounds” have declared it to be a “conspiracy theory,” meaning “respectable” persons do not entertain the possibility of vote fraud. Some, though, are independently following the lead. Today, BlackBox Voting (http://www.blackboxvoting.org/) continues to report broken seals on ballot boxes, forbidden poll book examination, and Diebold 1.94w optical scan system suspicions. Where are the mainstream journalists in all this? Do they surrender their noses when they attend those fancy journalism schools? Yesterday (and earlier) was a big day of Svengali sorcery. The Rezko card was played early. A Hillary-with-Rezko photo superseded. The Kennedy endorsement body-slammed the “co-president” plot. There was a huge occult battle going on yesterday, yet you wouldn't know it unless you read Conspiracy Nation.
