The Upside-Down Season
(Conspiracy Nation, 06/27/08) – There is the Christmas season. Then, 180 degrees opposite, there is the upside-down season. We are now in the upside-down season.
The Winter Solstice occurs about December 21st. The Summer Solstice took place this year on June 20th, a half-year apart.
Christmas takes place on December 25th. John the Baptist Day was June 24th, three days ago.
The Feast of the Magi wraps up the Christmas season on January 6th. The Fourth of July ends the upside-down season on July 4th.
John the Baptist Day is the anti-Christmas. The Knights Templar were accused of worshiping a head and spitting on the Crucifix. The head worshiped by the Templars may have been that of John the Baptist, beheaded at the request of Salome.
The Templars had been in the Holy Land, excavating the site of the Jerusalem Temple and later helping defend the Levant. “The roots of Templarism itself, and thus those of Freemasonry, are actually deeply linked not so much to Christianity, but rather to Islam and particularly to Muhammadism,” argues Prince Michael of Albany, controversial claimant to the Scottish throne. (“The Knights Templar of the Middle East,” ISBN-10: 1-57863-346-X; ISBN-13: 978-1-57863-346-3)
Prince Michael is correct insofar as the Masonic connection to Templarism. But he misses the Mandaean connection to the Templars seen by other authors. The Mandaeans honor John the Baptist and consider Jesus to have been a false prophet and a usurper.
In his Lexicon of Freemasonry, Albert G. Mackey had this to say about Johannite Masonry (dedicated to John the Baptist and John the Evangelist): “This is the system [Johannite Masonry] now practised in the United States, and formerly in England.”
So the upside-down season is also the Masonic holiday season.
This is not meant against the Masons, who do much charitable good work. However even most Masons might not realize a hidden “Masonry within Freemasonry.”
In tune with the upside-down season, and its spirit of schism, Bishop Bernard Fellay, head of the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX), has rejected a Vatican offer to rejoin Rome. This was reported yesterday by Reuters. The actual rejection may have been done on John the Baptist Day, June 24th. (“Catholic rebel snubs pope call to rejoin Rome,” by Tom Heneghan, Religion Editor. Reuters, June 26, 2008)
“Schism” means cleft or division and derives from “schizein”, meaning “to split.” “Schizein” is also the root for “schizoid”, as in “21st Century Schizoid Man”, foreseen by the 1960s avante-garde rock band King Crimson. The current Western schizoid mind system divides each day into compartments. None of the compartments is aware of any of the other compartments. So, for example, in the Saturday compartment, the word “crisis” does not exist.
Yesterday, Thursday (Thor's Day), dedicated to Zeus/Jupiter, is typified by thunderbolts. One of the thunderbolts yesterday was the Supreme Court decision largely affirming the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Another thunderbolt yesterday may have been market reaction to the “Federal” Reserve's decision to merely “talk tough” instead of taking action against inflation. The Dow sank 358 points reacting to the close Wednesday (Wotan's Day) of the FOMC meeting and its “tough talk” statement. However, how this plays out remains to be seen, so yesterday's dramatic market reversal may not have been a true thunderbolt.
Today is Friday (Frigg's Day), dedicated to the goddess of married love and to Venus. Usually, there is startling news issued late in the day.
Dubya Bush may be aware of the “21st Century Schizoid Man” situation. Early in his tenure, Bush said he wants to be a “uniter”, not a “divider.” Barack Obama also expresses the wish for unity, where the Western compartmentalization scheme is seen as negative. What happens when the box lines disintegrate, and Saturday becomes aware of Friday?
