Outbound E-mail instructions for Mac Mail
Open the Apple Mail program and click the Mail menu. Select Preferences...
Under Account Information click on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) drop down menu and select Add Server...
In the Outgoing Mail Server field enter outbound.shout.net and in the Server Port field enter 587. Set the Authentication drop down menu to Password then enter your Shouting Ground user name and password in the appropriate fields. Click the OK button.
Make sure the Outgoing Mail server (SMTP) drop down shows outbound.shout.net as the selected outgoing mail server. Close the Accounts window to save the changes.
You should now be set up with the proper settings to send mail. Close and relaunch Apple Mail, then send a test message to yourself to make sure the settings were entered correctly. If you experience any problems please contact us at 217-351-7921 for support.
