Acid Smiley Attacks Earth

(Conspiracy Nation, 02/06/08) – Britain's Sun newspaper reports “that a satellite orbiting Mars has now spotted what looks suspiciously like a big smiley face drawn crudely onto the surface of the red planet [Mars].” There have also been reports of a bigfoot on Mars and a spider on Mercury. (“Acid House smiley face found on Mars,” by Tom Chivers. Reported in London Telegraph, Feb. 4, 2008)

Veteran amateur astronomer Felix Bach has investigated “lunar anomalies” for 25 years. He reports having observed “hundreds of features” supposed to be just “big rocks” on the Moon. These, in his analysis, are “structures of definite manufacture” built by “very advanced 'selenite' inhabitants.” We, the public, get the air-brushed photos from NASA. But Bach bypasses NASA filtering by his own direct observations. (“Is This A Lunar Totem Pole?” by Felix Bach. Fate magazine, Feb. 2008)

The tentative heading for a barrage of events underway these past few days is, “Acid Smiley Attacks Earth.” Lacking any of the mysterious Secret Sources Who Know All, Conspiracy Nation must rely on mundane methodology. The first step is merely to record a series of events, before they disappear down the rabbit hole.

Lunar New Year: Apparently the oriental Lunar New Year begins today. Malcolm Foster incidentally mentions Asian investors are “keen to avoid risky exposure during the long Lunar New Year holidays.” (“Asian stocks sink after Dow's plunge,” AP, Feb. 6, 2008). A glance at the calendar shows a new moon today.

Stocks Plunge: The Dow sank 370 points yesterday. Supposedly investors weren't happy about decline in service (servus) sector jobs. Others say the plunge was due to Fitch downgrades of bond insurers. Already there is talk that Ben Bernanke of the “Federal” Reserve might do an inter-session emergency rate cut. But Aristotle wrote, to make money breed money is preposterous. The most unnatural source of wealth-getting “is usury, which makes a gain out of money itself, and not from the natural object of it. For money was intended to be used in exchange, but not to increase at interest.” So-called “interest” means “the birth of money from money” and is highly unnatural. (“Politics” Book 1: Section 10). Nonetheless, Aristotle was not “a Princeton man”, as Bernanke himself would agree.

Cut Cables: It is “a mystery” how four Internet cables serving the Middle East and India have all recently been severed. Two of the four were damaged “within days of one another, a rare coincidence that so far has defied explanation.” (“Cut Middle East Internet cables remain a mystery,” by Hannah Allam. McClatchy Newspapers, Feb. 6, 2008)

Wild, Wild Midwest: Roughly coinciding with the arrival of the new moon and the lunar new year, the Midwest was pounded by storms and tornadoes. Conducting measurements during the deluge which hit this small, cosmopolitan city, the Conspiracy Nation editor was soaked to the skin. In Tennessee, a towering inferno erupted at a natural gas pumping station. Flames shot hundreds of feet into the air. A tremendous explosion was reported. Coinciding with an overall roaring of the heavens, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi died.

Lunar Politics: Hillary Clinton, representing an echo of Silver Age lunar worship, held ground in yesterday's “Super Tuesday” primaries. She vies with Barack Obama, tentatively identified as representing Golden Age solar worship. John McCain is definitely Bronze Age, of the “We are Spartans” type. All candidates contest amidst the background of the Kali-Yuga, or Iron Age, now drawing to a close. (Background: “The Watchers & The Grail,” http://www.shout.net/~bigred/WatchersGrail.html)

Last Saturday, February 3rd, Conspiracy Nation warned, “Something's cooking, and it's not vegetables.” (“Too Much Ice Cream,” http://www.shout.net/~bigred/IceCream.html) Confirmed is a great deal of disorder now reverberating. Further disorder is likely to be shoveled out, mirroring internal disorder in the psyches' of the press. We all get a break come Saturday, a separate compartment in the American mind where crises never happen.
