(Conspiracy Nation, 8/9/03) -- Authors Mary Bennett and David
S. Percy offer what they term the "dark moon scenario" as the most likely
explanation behind NASA's alleged journey to the moon. In their book, Dark Moon, Bennett and Percy admit that yes,
NASA went to the moon, "but neither in the manner that NASA have claimed
as set out in the historical record, nor with the individuals named in the
historical record." (emphasis added) Before delving into Bennett and Percy's explanation of what actually
happened, here are some brief moon anomalies noted by Charles Fort (1874-1932)
in his book, New Lands. Moon AnomaliesNov. 23, 1887: Observed: "Flakes of light moving toward Plato from
all the other craters of the moon." |
Sept. 13, 1889: Reported by Prof. Thury, of Geneva, "a black spot (on the moon) with an 'intensely white' border."
March 30, 1889: Observed: a black spot near the center of Copernicus.
May 11, 1889: Observed: an object "as black as ink" on the moon.
April 1, 1893: "...a shaft of light was seen projecting from the moon, by M. de Moraes, in the Azores. A similar appearance was seen, Sept. 25, 1893, at Paris, by M. Gaboreau."
NASA itself published, in 1968, a Chronological Catalogue Of
Reported Lunar Events which reportedly included "more than 570 moon
anomalies from 1540 to 1967." [1] Among the oddities:
Among categories of moon anomalies fascinatingly reported by Jim Marrs
in his book, Alien Agenda, is "The Tower." Dr. Bruce Cornet, a geologist,
describes The Tower as "an enigma of the highest magnitude, because it
rises more than five miles above the surface of the moon, and has been
photographed from five different angles and two different altitudes." [1]
The top of The Tower, adds Dr. Cornet, "has a very cubic geometry and
appears to be composed of regular cubes joined together to form a very large
cube with an estimated width of over one mile!" [1]
(Authors Bennett and Percy hint in their book that Arthur C. Clarke, the
writer behind 2001: A Space Odyssey, knew a lot more than he was
telling. You may remember that in Stanley Kubrick's film, 2001: A Space
Odyssey, a strange extraterrestrial tower plays a key role.)
Researcher George H. Leonard became convinced that the moon was already
occupied before NASA's purported lunar landing in 1969. "Evidence of their
presence is everywhere," according to Leonard. "The moon is occupied by
an intelligent race or races which probably moved in from outside the solar
system."
In 1977, Leonard detailed the evidence for lunar occupation in his book,
Somebody Else Is On The Moon. Reportedly included were puzzling
moon photos showing what appeared to be bridges and domed-shaped objects
in the center of lit craters. [1]
NASA is a militaristic organization run on a "need-to-know" basis. "The vast majority of those involved at NASA and the space program as a whole (are/were) entirely ignorant of what was going on at the highest levels." [2]
The Apollo 11 "lunar landing" was conducted in parallel with a secret
lunar landing which actually occurred, posit Bennett & Percy. The authors'
Dark Moon Scenario is extensively backed by evidence presented in their book;
this report by Conspiracy Nation is only the briefest of summaries.
The true picture which emerges in Dark Moon is that while Apollo 11
only orbited the Earth, the Soviet Luna 15 spacecraft proceeded to the moon.
This Soviet "Soyuz" craft had hooked up with the orbiting Apollo, and the
Lunar Module was piggy-backed to Luna 15. Inside the Soyuz vehicle, a Russian
cosmonaut (probably Pavel Belyayev) was the "taxi driver" for a secret mission
transporting a surrogate American astronaut. This unacknowledged American
astronaut, "Astronaut X", would be the human guinea pig who actually set
foot on the moon.
Astronaut X wasn't likely to return. Van Allen Belt and lunar radiation
would be sure to limit his days. (Pavel Belyayev, the probable Russian
"taxi driver," did return from the secret mission, but died soon thereafter.)
On the moon, Astronaut X took photos and transmitted them back to Earth.
These were the "real photographs of the lunar surface that very few human
beings would ever see." [2] Astronaut X also carried a handgun for limited
protection against possible aggressors.
Did Astronaut X return from the moon? It is possible that he returned
to the Lunar Module and prepared to depart. "Only those that know can say
whether it was ever intended for him to return." [2]
In the late 1950s/early 1960s, the race for space was impelled by a great sense of urgency. The cover story was that the urgency was a race against the Soviets for control of space. This hid the true, unknown urgency, which caused hasty cooperation between the competing super-powers. The urgency to get to the moon vanished as quickly as it had arisen. Whoever Astronaut X truly was, he may have accomplished his secret mission.
