Hopeless Earth Changes

(Conspiracy Nation, 09/13/07) -- “Change.” This is the theme of various politicians. The “Global Warming” camp also foresees change, but they fear doom and work against perceived planetary peril. But what if “Global Warming” is really just “Earth Changes” misunderstood?

Earth Changes” warnings have been around since at least the 1990s. “Many prophecies and comments have been made about the times that we live in,” reports one web site (http://www.crawford2000.co.uk/). The Hopis and the Mayans have warned us.

Another “Earth Changes” site (http://www.zyz.com/survivalcenter/Planetx.html) connects the return of Planet X with upheaval. Also complicit is “unprecedented solar activity.”

(Planet X is a theoretical planet having a very wide orbit. If memory serves, Planet X travels way out into space and returns to Earth's vicinity every 3600 years.)

The August 2007 issue of Popular Science magazine is devoted largely to “Global Warming.” In one article, Greenland is “coming apart.” Climatologist Konrad Steffen, in 1990, established “Swiss Camp” on Greenland's ice sheet. Bravely stationed year after year on the ice sheet, Steffen noticed average temperatures were rising. “Over a decade, the average winter temperature shot up 7 degrees Fahrenheit, an increase so improbable that at first Steffen declined to publish it, fearing an error in his calculations.” (“The Prophet Of Melt,” by Tom Clynes.)

Snowmelt in Greenland, reportedly, has “increased drastically between 1992 and 2005.” An accompanying graphic in the Popular Science report (op. cit.) indicates Greenland is truly becoming a green land.

The politicians hop on board. Largely unquestioned is the past record of politicians for solving problems. But Mark Jannot, editor of Popular Science, perceptively points out that politics may not be the best hope for solving “Global Warming.” Instead, various innovative people offer creative solutions. (“Nature, Nurtured,” August 2007)

An innovative theory offered by Conspiracy Nation is that the “Global Warming” is really the “Earth Changes.” The scientists seem solid in their measurements (for example Steffen's measurements in Greenland). Where they err is in making the leap from that, to carbon emissions as the cause.

Also hardly mentioned is the disappearance of fossil fuels. This cannot be stated enough: On the one hand we have the urgent plea, “Reduce your carbon footprint.” On the other hand, we have diminishing fossil fuels. So the “crisis” resolves itself, does it not?

Except the crisis does not resolve itself, because “Earth Changes” is the cause, and not “carbon footprint.”

Piggybacking on the situation are various politicians. “More laws is the answer,” they invariably cry. Politicians, incidentally, are usually lawyers, which may indicate bias in their outlook.

It is Hopeless Earth Changes. Give up. Or, look on the bright side: Coming soon, a real estate boom in Greenland. Also, just imagine the archaeological possibilities. Greenland could be the legendary Ultima Thule. When the ice is gone from Greenland, sure, the oceans will rise. Say good-bye to the coasts. This means Washington, DC underwater (what a shame). But New Lands will appear. Atlantis could rise from the sea, as Edgar Cayce predicted. And if you personally don't make it past the Earth Changes, there are always future incarnations to consider. Viewing your past lives, you can tell your grandchildren, “Ah, yes, Armageddon. I remember it well.”
