The Cutting Of The Elm
(Conspiracy
Nation, 07/09/08) – After
the loss of Jerusalem to the Saracens, in 1187 A.D., a monumental
event took place in Normandy. It was the cutting of the elm.
At Gisors, in Normandy, in 1188 A.D., a meeting between King Henry II of England and King Philippe II of France occurred beneath an elm tree. Henry II and his advisers stood in the shade of the elm. Philippe II and his group stood in the hot sun. Then, after the meeting, King Philippe ordered the tree cut down. And so is recorded the cutting of the elm at Gisors.
So what is the big deal about this cutting of the elm? The deeper meaning may be explained in the Dossiers Secrets, called a hoax but in reality clever disinformation. (Background: “Dossiers Secrets of Pierre Plantard”, http://www.shout.net/~bigred/Plantard.html)
There is a subtle difference between a mere hoax and disinformation. The latter contains truth mixed with lies as a way to lead the curious into a false trail. The Dossiers Secrets, argue authors Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, had to have been written in part by persons having much deeper knowledge than did Pierre Plantard. (The Sion Revelation. New York: Touchstone (Simon & Schuster), 2006)
In 1099 A.D., Godefroy de Bouillon established the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Mount Sion in Jerusalem, following its capture by Crusaders. Later, when Jerusalem was recaptured by the Saracens, monks from the Abbey relocated to the Priory of St. Samson in Orleans, France.
Also operating in Jerusalem during the 88 years it was held by the Crusaders were the Knights Templar. In March 1117, Baudouin I, King of Jerusalem, who owed his throne to Sion, negotiated the constitution of the Order of the Temple. It is logical there was some connection between the Templars and the Abbey de Mount Sion.
The cutting of the elm at Gisors in 1188 is not about some argument over who gets to stand in the shade. Genuine information is contained in the Dossiers Secrets. It is not entirely a hoax. To those having understanding, the cutting of the elm symbolizes a schism between Sion and the Templars.
The Dossiers Secrets assert, “On his return from the Crusade, Louis VII brought back with him several monks, initiated in the East, members of the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Sion; while some settled in the St. Samson Priory in Orleans, others integrated themselves with the Order of the Temple; around 1161, discords manifested within the Order, the sovereignty of the Grand Master was no longer unanimously recognized, a schism was in the air, and the English Templars sensed that the breakup of the Order was coming. There still exist in our day secret archives, the property of certain societies, which affirm that in 1188 'the elm was cut' and that one of its branches, the Ormus, having as its emblem a red cross and a white rose, would be the origin of the Rosicrucians.”
In French, “orme” means “elm.” The cutting of the elm indicates the independent branching off of the Ormus. Whether the Ormus later became the Priory of Sion is another matter.
