-- A crowd of about 500, mostly Mexican, illegal aliens marched today
in Champaign, Illinois. They chanted, as nearly as could be understood,
"El Papa viven viven. La Lucha seguen, seguen." This means, roughly,
"The Pope lives. The fight continues."
Mexico is overwhelmingly Catholic, which explains the Pope as a
rallying cry.
Police stood by, at intervals, monitoring the event.
None of the illegal immigrants were challenged by the police.
However this editor was briefly detained as a suspicious person.
While this editor rode his bicycle alongside a portion of the march,
one officer did a specific maneuver. He placed himself purposely in
this editor's path, forcing him to stop. The Conspiracy Nation editor was in a
designated bicycle lane at the time.
Those familiar with this police technique may know its specific
name. An officer will suddenly veer in your direction, as if he is
about to apprehend you. If you behave evasively, this then offers
"probable cause" to police to pursue the matter.
When the Conspiracy Nation
editor braked his bicycle and stopped, the officer then stepped outside
of the designated lane. This editor then continued his bicycling.
The illegal alien marchers were well behaved. Most appeared to be in
their twenties. They carried signs such as "Today we march. Tomorrow we
vote."
There was an approximately even division between the sexes. Many of
the Mexican women had brought along their children to the event.
For some reason, this editor was infuriated by the situation. Trying
to discover why, he did some soul-searching.
The illegal alien immigrants routinely appear to be good workers who
make no trouble. However, by adding labor surplus to the market they
drive down wages for American workers.
But this was not the root cause of anger. The root cause was found
to be, these foreigners have caused the U.S. borders to be meaningless.
Without a border, how can there be a United States? It is this which is
so galling: that the United States, as such, is being destroyed right
before our eyes.
On further thought, however, it occurred, "Why blame the Mexicans?"
It is the U.S. government which has allowed this circumstance to be.
And here comes the conspiracy.
Is the U.S. government, as now represented by the Demo-Publican
duopoly, really that inept? For the past 12-or-so years, the illegal
alien population has soared from 3 million to 12 million. Our border is
a joke. Perhaps that is their plan: to merge the U.S. first with
Mexico, then later with Central America, and finally into a New World
Order.
Notice too how the huge rise in illegal immigrants has coincided
with passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Article VI of the U.S. Constitution stipulates that treaties are the
"supreme law of the land." So here's a scarier theory: that NAFTA means
the illegal immigrants are
not in fact illegal; and that the government dares not openly
say so, but is masking the situation with a "Mexican uprising."
