-- The image to the left is from the 1960 film, "Elmer Gantry." DVD and
VHS formats of the movie, starring Burt Lancaster (Academy Award
winner, Best Actor, for this film) and Jean Simmons, are widely
available. It is an excellent film. If you were to watch it, you'd get
an historical grasp of the situation now occuring in America.
For the truly brave, "Elmer Gantry" is based on a book of the
same name by Sinclair Lewis. It's probably available at your local
library. You would go to the "fiction" area, then look under "L" for
"Lewis."
"Elmer Gantry" is fair: it examines both sides, pro and con,
of the commercialization of Christianity.

And Europe Is A Stoney Land
On July 14, 2002, Conspiracy
Nation documented an unusual dream experienced by this editor in
the mid-1980s. (See "First McChurch Launched," http://www.shout.net/~bigred/McChurch.htm)
Part of the dream had the local church announcing a McDonalds
restaurant had opened at the rear of the church and headlining it as
"We've Come To The End." Other aspects of this mid-1980s dream were
"the return of the Moors" and "and Europe is a stoney land."
The new Pope, formerly known as Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, favors a
return by Europe to its Christian roots. This means to Ratzinger that
Europe is not Muslim, i.e. not Moors, as in the abovementioned dream.
Today it is announced on National Public Radio that France has voted
against the European Union proposed constitution. A different sort of
European Union is however brewing. In "Beware The Phrygian Cap" (http://www.shout.net/~bigred/Phrygian.html)
Conspiracy Nation noticed the
potent phenomena of Pan-Germanism and the historical antecedent of the
Holy Roman Empire. The 1990 reunification of Germany; the realignment
with Croatia during the later United Nations intervention in the former
Yugoslavia; and now the placement of a German Pope on the Throne of St.
Peter -- all these trend toward increased power for the German Volk.
If this editor's dream of twenty years ago is prescient, then
Message to European Muslims: "Jesus is coming, and boy is he pissed."
This time it won't be the Jews, but the Muslims, who will be the
"undesireables." Final outcome? And
Europe is a stoney land. Ruin and destruction.
In related news, some months ago, Bill Gates of Microsoft let it be
known that he was "betting against the dollar." Since that time, the
dollar's strength vs. the euro has improved markedly. Shrewd investors,
taking the signal that "Wrong Way" Gates foresaw erosion in the dollar,
did contrarian investing and profited thereby. Will the euro's relative
value further evaporate following the French rejection of EU? Watch for
signals from "Wrong Way" Gates.
McJesus Land
As noted, another portion of this editor's long-ago dream had
Churches and McDonalds intertwined. A recent article by Business Week magazine ("Earthly
Empires," cover story, May 23, 2005) reports on the Elmer Gantrian
circumstance of "How evangelical churches are borrowing from the
business playbook." The Churches have got to get hep, and change with
the times, is the thinking. So there are Sunday Schools that look like
Disney World and church cafes with the appeal of Starbucks. It is all
part of the "Evangelicals' embrace of corporate-style growth
strategies" which is "giving them a tremendous advantage in the battle
for religious market share."
More ominously, in "Expose: The 'Christian' Mafia," (currently
available online), Wayne Madsen argues that an exponential expansion
of earlier Jim Bakker-style hucksterism has resulted in a government
takeover. What Madsen calls "The Fellowship" has "used Jesus in the
same way that McDonald's uses golden arches and Coca Cola uses its
stylized script lettering. Jesus," writes Madsen, "is a logo and a
slogan for the Fellowship."
The larger plot could be to discredit Christianity. This would
involve a "crash" in McJesus, Inc., followed by angry investors and the
dethronement of God. Paris (Par Isis) Hilton is rumored to be set to
wed a Greek gentleman also having "Paris" as his first name. A United
Nation's Cult of Isis with Paris Hilton as the nominal deity is a
foreseeable scenario. Reports leaking from this year's secretive
Bilderberg meeting have the world elite united behind a push for "a
direct UN tax on people worldwide through a direct tax on oil at the
wellhead."

5/27/05) Worldwide, a tremendous struggle and counter-struggle between
globalists and anti-globalists seems to be underway. Beneath the
surface, however, McJesus, Inc. might be a pre-arranged "straw man."
