Swamis Endorse "Yogi Lincoln"

(Conspiracy Nation, 02/16/06) -- Here we see two swamis, Paramhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda. Both endorse the claim that Abraham Lincoln, 16th U.S. president, had been a yogi in the Himalayas during a previous incarnation!

The astonishing news is connected with the imminent release of a new book which reportedly demonstrates not only that Lincoln had been a yogi "who died with a desire to help bring about racial equality," but had also later reincarnated as Charles Lindbergh, the aviator. At the publisher's web site further information on Soul Journey: From Lincoln To Lindbergh, by Richard Silva, is currently available. Conspiracy Nation has covered aspects of The Yogi Lincoln Case in a previous report.

Reading through the publisher's (Crystar Press) web site, further tantalizing tidbits are obtained:

Author Richard Silva had encountered the Yogi Lincoln claim in 1977. Eventually, he began to dig into the matter. "I felt," writes Silva, "that my own, extensive study and practice of the teachings of Himalayan yogis would aid my search."

Presumably while doing yoga postures, Silva discovered, among other things, that both Lincoln and Charles Lindbergh "had a deep, calm, penetrating gaze." Their eyes even looked the same! From there, Silva pushed forward to his amazing conclusions.

A similar "Eureka moment" occurred when the late author C.A. Tripp extrapolated from Lincoln's "perfect thighs" the extraordinary idea that "Old Abe" was a "closet queen."

Silva's intuitions of a Lindbergh-Lincoln connection apparently do not take into account suspicions regarding the infamous 1932 kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby. Doubts surrounding Charles Lindbergh in this matter have been covered by Conspiracy Nation. Lindbergh rejected the FBI's offer of assistance, but called in Morris Rosner, a member of the underworld, to help. Lindbergh was convinced that the kidnapping had been the work of organized crime leaders. In an intriguing parallel, notorious mobster Al Capone offered to help find the kidnappers. At the character level, Charles Lindbergh is not on par with Abraham Lincoln, thus undermining Silva's "reincarnated Lincoln" proposal.

Nonetheless, some reviewers of Soul Journey: From Lincoln To Lindbergh are enthusiastic. “Here is a unique and delightfully creative journey through history, human greatness, and yoga," exults Gyandev McCord, author of Yoga for Starters.

In the earthbound realm, evidence of a wider conspiracy behind the 1865 Lincoln assassination continues to emerge. Otto Eisenschiml (1880-1963) had authored several books on the Civil War, focusing especially on submerged aspects of the horrendous event. He had theorized that the War Between The States had been needlessly prolonged. There were traitors even within the upper echelons of the Union itself, suggested Eisenschiml.

A reading of Ulysses S. Grant's Memoirs supports Eisenschiml's theory. In the West, General Henry Halleck secretly sabotaged Grant's reputation. When Grant was later promoted to top Union general, he had to communicate with president Lincoln and Northern generals through special channels. Secretary of War Edwin Stanton controlled the encryption keys for telegraph messages and he and his cohorts intercepted communiques. Wanting to get a message to General Phil Sheridan, for example, Grant complains, "I knew it would be impossible for me to get orders through Washington to Sheridan to make a move, because they would be stopped there..." Again: "I now ordered Sheridan to halt... But this order had to go through Washington where it was intercepted."
