Apologies if link has expired.(Melchizedek Communique, MC022510) Subsequent to reports by Melchizedek Communique which noticed a "divine invasion" of this prison planet, Arianna Huffington has launched a new feature at her popular blog, The Huffington Post: "HuffPost Religion".

"I'm delighted to announce that we are launching HuffPost Religion -- a section featuring a wide-ranging discussion about religion, spirituality, and the ways they influence our lives," writes Ms. Huffington.

The fair-minded Huffington must obviously read Melchizedek Communique, since only three days earlier this publication broke the story of a modern divine invasion. "Herb Asher, a recluse living on a human colony on the planet CY30-CY30B, is visited by a prophet named Elias Tate who informs Asher that Rybys, a virgin, is pregnant with the Second Coming. The three travel to Earth where the child will finish the battle with Belial, the Adversary who banished Yahweh to CY30-CY30B thousands of years earlier and has kept the Earth under his dark cloud since." Paul Raushenbush premieres the new HuffPost Religion section with various courtesies of "diversity of religious traditions, perspectives and experiences" and hope for a wide-ranging discussion. [1] But this is Melchizedek Communique, so let us "cut to the chase."

In the early 1800s, there occurred in Russia one of the most frightful cases of vampirism on record. The governor of one of Russia's provinces, a man aged about 60 years and having a tyrannical and cruel disposition, fell in love with the pretty young daughter of a subordinate official. He used his power to force consent to a marriage. The old lecher mistreated the sorrowful young woman and confined her within his mansion. [2]

After awhile, the despotic governor became ill. With death approaching, he made his wife swear she would not remarry, "and with fearful oaths, threatened that, in case she did, he would return from his grave and kill her." [2]

The young widow however did eventually remarry. But on the very night of the betrothal feast, fearsome shrieks were heard from her room. She was found to be swooned upon her bed, with a slight puncture upon her neck. "At the same time a carriage was heard rumbling out of the courtyard." [2]

A guard reported that, just before midnight, a black coach and six had driven furiously past the bridge.

Additional guards were placed at the mansion, yet night after night the hideous terror returned. Inexplicably, a heavy sleep would overcome the guards, always at about midnight. And so, government protection having failed, religion was inevitably turned to. Priests came to pass the night in prayer. Yet even they were overcome by sleepiness at the crucial hour.

By now the governor's widow, slowly drained of her blood, was at death's door. In desperation, fifty Cossacks, a "homeland security", were put in place. The Cossacks were ordered "to stop the spectre-carriage at all hazards." A priest bearing a crucifix supplemented the Cossack "home guard." That night, the eerie carriage approached: "In the name of God, and the Czar, who goes there?" shouted the priest and the officer of the guard. [2]

Out of the coach window was thrust a well-remembered head, and a familiar voice responded, "The Privy Councillor of State and Governor!" At the same moment, the officer, the priest, and the soldiers "were flung aside as by an electric shock." [2]

In desperation, the Archbishop decided upon a last expedient. The ancient remedy of exhuming the governor's body and pinning it to the earth with an oaken stake driven through its heart was resolved upon. This was done, and is in the historical record. The governor's body was found to be gorged with blood, and with red cheeks and lips. "At the instant that the first blow was struck upon the stake, a groan issued from the corpse, and a jet of blood spurted high into the air." [2]
