Image: Pig factory. Apologies if link has expired.(Melchizedek Communique, MC050309) Donald Rumsfeld, the former Defense Secretary, is a past chairman of the company that makes Tamiflu. Rumsfeld has refused to comment on whether he still holds shares in California firm Gilead Sciences. Gilead Sciences sold the licensing rights for Tamiflu to Hoffman-La Roche in 1996. [1]

Dr Joseph Mercola, author of The Great Bird Flu Hoax, said yesterday: "The only thing all this talk of swine flu does is spread fear. President Bush sought to instil panic by telling us a minimum of 200,000 people will die from avian flu but it could be as bad as two million deaths in the US alone. This hoax was justified by the immediate purchase of 80 million doses of Tamiflu." [1]

At his web site, Dr. Mercola notes how, during a previous avian flu scare, mainstream media "parroted the paranoia" by routinely magnifying the relative few deaths attributed to the virus elsewhere in the world. [2]

This same mainstream media, having enormous "loudspeakers" compared with any lone individual or small group, is apt to move on to some other subject at any time, carrying their enormous "loudspeakers" with them. They make so much noise, they must be right, no?

But really, the mainstream media is mostly noise. Unfortunately, many seem to believe, "They are so loud, they must be right."

The BIG NOISE is apt to saunter off to some new "crisis" at any time, taking their high-falutin' pedigrees with them. Look at what the truth is up against, here in our "land of the free"!

One tentative theory is that Dr. Mercola's "magnification of a relative few deaths" originates, in the case of the swine flu brouhaha, with a gigantic factory farm near the isolated hamlet of La Gloria, in Mexico. It is part of a chain of farms in the region owned by a Mexican company, Granjas Carroll de Mexico (GCM), in partnership with US-based Smithfield Foods. Pigs cramped together like sardines in a can eliminate waste into a nearby pond. Flies feed on the waste and fly off to buzz the local population. [3]

Last month, after hundreds of La Gloria villagers complained of flu-like symptoms, a five-year-old boy in the hamlet, Edgar Hernandez, was confirmed to be suffering from the virulent new strain of swine flu, H1N1. [3]

Mexico, for some reason, is the "epicenter" for the swine flu outbreak. The deaths from swine flu thus far are almost exclusively confined to Mexico.

Caution is urged before rushing into the embrace of any theory. Because the BIG NOISE is apt to move on with their LOUDSPEAKER NEWS at any time, some bloggers rush to keep pace with the mass media. They loudly proclaim things like "Secret Sources Say, 'End of World!'" It is "monkey see, monkey do" (Monk E. Seedo), so why not ride the BIG NOISE as it marches by?

Melchizedek Communique is proud to announce it now also, at last, has acquired one of these amazing secret sources. Mr. Monk E. Seedo has agreed to provide instant answers to complicated events.
