Father Martin commented on Bell's idea of the pace of life accelerating, most especially in the past several years. This exponential speeding up of our lives was all leading somewhere, most probably to an important event, collapse, breakdown, and then a "solution" of some type.

"You know what's happening really?" stated Rev. Malachi Martin. "The quickening. And the quickening is the closest it's... I believe that we are being driven to turn to Christ... Solve our problems. Solve our problems, because we will commit global suicide if you don't come and save us. The quickening is, men are going to rush around, looking for solutions, and finally wave their hands and say, 'Come. Save us.'"

Caveat: This is not meant to endorse any particular religion, or lack thereof, by Melchizedek Communique.

Father Martin (1921 - 1999), among other things, was privileged to secretive information pertaining to Vatican and other world issues, which included the Third Secret of Fatima. On the Bell show of April 5, 1997, Malachi Martin revealed, "Now what's The Third Secret? It's rather a dire document. It's not pleasant reading at all. I'm under oath not to reveal the actual details of it. I've read it. It is not pleasant reading at all."

ART BELL: Does this involve a chastisement?

FATHER MARTIN: Yes. Several.

A few days ago, May 19, 2009, Melchizedek Communique reported having noticed an acceleration of lies these past few months. Only later did this editor make the connection between the acceleration of lies and Bell's 1997 concept of The Quickening. "The acceleration of lies increases as the economy deteriorates and band-aids from The Combination are shown ineffective," noticed Melchizedek Communique. [1]

Some are sensitive to the atmosphere of lies surrounding our "ideatic" environment. Others are not. Emmanuel Swedenborg (1688 - 1772) described how this is: "...when they who are in good are immersed in falsities, they come into anguish and anxieties, and are tormented... But they who are not in good, care not whether they are in falsities or in truth." [2]

This would explain why so many seem blithely unconcerned. Typical Saturday: "Crisis? There is no crisis. Why sir, you must be crazy." To the "crazy", actually tormented by immersion in falsities, are given pharmaceuticals by the "health care" industry.

The Book of Daniel (12:4) refers to a time when "many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." Where this continued acceleration of motion is leading is to a cessation of motion. Existence has been ever-faster motion. Were the rapid motion to screech to a halt, this (in the minds of many) signifies an end of existence.

"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12: 4)

The cessation of motion is not the end of existence, but to many it seems to be so. Thus, billions of ransomed dollars are frantically combusted into the perpetual motion machine. For some, stillness signifies death and must be prevented at whatever cost. Even an acceleration of lies, they feel, is not too high of a price to be paid.
