(Melchizedek Communique, MC121109) Science is on the march. And it is goose-stepping.

The goose-step is a special form of military step in which the marching troops swing their legs from a vertical leg to a nearly horizontally-extending one, bringing it down with a loud simultaneous stepping noise and continuing the cycle in unison. It emerged from Prussian drilling regulation during the early 19th Century, where it was known as Stechschritt (literally, "piercing step") and Stechmarsch. ("Goose-step", Wikipedia, Dec. 11, 2009)

To an onlooker, it might seem like "consensus goose-stepping", as if all the goose-steppers had individually agreed on the matter. But really, the goose-steppers have been ordered from above.

That the goose-step began in Prussia is symbolic of the consensus science which began to emerge in Germany in the 1900s. The matter is detailed in Hitler's Scientists (New York, NY: Viking Penguin, 2003), by John Cornwell, author of a previous best-seller, Hitler's Pope.

By the time Adolph Hitler came to power, in 1933, "science, medicine and technology were pressed into the service of the new regime. The Third Reich called for a spirit of Gleichschaltung (marching in step): all the resources of the new regime were to work in coordination... Scientists, with remarkably few exceptions, speedily acquiesced under those pressures." (Hitler's Scientists, by John Cornwell. op. cit.)

The German scientists were, in other words, goose-stepping.

At the end of World War II, the Nazi Peenemunde team of rocket scientists, led by Wernher von Braun, and "which had exploited slave labor," were evacuated and brought to the United States. (Cornwell, op. cit.) Von Braun was debriefed by Major Clay Shaw. A relationship between von Braun and Shaw continued over the coming years. (Clay Shaw appears in the Oliver Stone movie, "JFK", as significantly connected with the John F. Kennedy assassination.) The surrendered Nazi scientists were brought to America and incorporated themselves into their new home. Von Braun was employed by what became the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He easily made a "complete switch from the German Military Industrial machine to the American Military Industrial Complex." Said noted scientist Wernher von Braun: "I really don't care whether I work for Uncle Joe [Stalin] or Uncle Sam. All I really want is an uncle who is rich." (Cornwell, op. cit.)

Billions of dollars are vacuumed into the "black hole" of NASA. In return for their tax dollars, the American public receives redundant blast-off stories, often containing cute human interest angles. (e.g., Astronaut's wife having baby while he orbits.)

These redundant "news" stories are all done in the spirit of Gleichschaltung (marching in step), as is the goose-stepping consensus science in general. Like the goose-stepping soldiers, to an onlooker it seems like the scientists are "consensus goose-stepping". But really the orders come from above.

But now, how damaging is "Climategate" to NASA, wonders Taylor Dinerman, writing at the Space Review. "The Climategate controversy is doing long-term damage to the public’s respect for Science, with a capital S." NASA "has been using its considerable public outreach and information resources to present the AGW [Anthropogenic Global Warming] story as if it was fully settled science." Have the instruments on NASA's satellites been "tweaked"? Dinerman fears that Gleichschaltung (marching in step) has overcome science at NASA. "It’s not just the scientists at the Climate Research Unit of East Anglia University who may have criminally violated the Freedom of Information Act, NASA has been stonewalling a FOIA request as well... for years." But reportedly, someone named Chris Horner has now "filed three Notices of Intent to File Suit against NASA and its Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), for those bodies' refusal - for nearly three years - to provide documents requested under the Freedom of Information Act." While all these events were underway, the Gleichschaltung mainstream media marched off in the direction of Tiger Woods.
