Seen in the sky was either a side effect of Russian missiles in eccentric orbit, or "something else."

The modern eruption of "crop circles," which began coincident to the Ronald Reagan "star wars" (Strategic Defense Initiative), started with simple spiral shapes manifesting in rural locations. A "global warming" power from outer space would also do the trick, making us realize we are "citizens of the world" who can "come together" to fight the threat.

Or had there been the "Contact"? Had Ronald Reagan been told the early 1970s Pioneer spacecraft missions, which carried gold anodized aluminum plaques bearing greetings to any and all extra-terrestrials, had been responded to? Many had possibly expected any return message to be in the form of more gold anodized aluminum plaques. But it doesn't work that way. It is not as if we send out a message saying, "Dear Aliens, How are you? We are fine," and a message comes back later saying, "We are fine too. How's the weather down there?" In his history of the modern eruption of "crop circles," Freddy Silva (op. cit.) mentions how, early on, serious researchers studying the phenomena began to be infiltrated by covert saboteurs. These secret operatives, whoever they were, gained the confidence of the researchers then stole information from their files. Bribes were offered. Divide-and-conquer dissensions were provoked by inside agents provocateurs. Mainstream media was enlisted into ridicule efforts. "Artists" were funded to create fake "crop circles." Most of the first wave of researchers at last succumbed to weariness and withdrew into seclusion.

But how would "artists" be funded to plant fake "crop circles" in the sky?

Speculation as to what was the mysterious blue light spiral over Norway includes that it was "God twirling his index finger" in response to President Barack Obama receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, and "It's a warning from the future to stop global warming." Coincident to the blue light spiral, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at Cern announced a world record of highest energy achieved in a laboratory. In Colorado, bizarre cow mutilations were reported.
