A Resolution in Support of the Graduate Employees Organization

We, the executive committee of the Union of Professional Employees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, support the collective bargaining rights of graduate employees and call upon the university administration to recognize the Graduate Employees Organization and to sit down and bargain with the organization in the interest of graduate employees and the university community. Furthermore, we urge our colleagues across the campus to join us in our support of these basic democratic rights.
