GEO members turn out for AFSCME Picket
On Thursday, June 1, GEO members joined with unionists and activists across campus to show solidarity with the members of AFSCME Local 698 as they continue their struggle to win a fair contract with the university.
AFSCME Local 698 is the oldest local on campus and represents a diverse group of employees, including library specialists, agricultural workers, animal caretakers, aircraft mechanics, crash rescue and security specialists, telephone operators, storekeepers, nurses, nurse practitioners, radiographers and others in McKinley and the theatrical stitchers who work at Krannert.
