Richard Trumka in Champaign

Richard Trumka Coming to Champaign!
Wednesday, October 15
Noon at the University YMCA (1001 S. Wright St.),
& 7:00 PM at IBEW LU #601

Well known for his inspiring and fiery speeches, Richard L. Trumka, Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC will visit Champaign on Wednesday, October 15.

His first stop will be at the University YMCA where he will deliver a speech
entitled "ECONOMIC JUSTICE, THE ROLE OF THE AMERICAN LABOR MOVEMENT AND THE 2008 ELECTION" at Noon.

In the evening, he'll be attending the regular meeting of the Champaign County AFL-CIO at 7:00 pm. at the IBEW LU #601 union meeting hall. This meeting will be open to the public. If you would like a ride to the meeting, contact the GEO office.
