Four software programs are now available. Two of these programs (Dyno32 and DynoGraph) are similar to each other in some respects but quite different in others. Both of these programs can be used to VIEW and RECORD DATA from the "readout" (horsepower computer) of the dynamometer. These software program work with the ST-2400S horsepower computer and also with the older 2000S Horsepower Computer. DynoDsp is new program intended to replace Dyno32. The fourth program (HpcFsu) is a reduced capability version of the Factory Setup Software used with these horsepower computers. It is used to set up the "push button calibration" feature of the ST-2400S horsepower computer.

All of these programs include an extensive Help program to help the user learn how to use the dynamometer software.

The most recent version of the user manual for the ST-2400S horsepower computer can downloaded from this site. This manual is in "pdf" (portable document format) so it can be viewed and/or printed using the Adobe Reader -- which can be downloaded (at no cost) from the Adobe web site.

DynoGraph Ver 4.15 -- Dynamometer Display, Recording, and Graphing Software :

This software has capabilities that are very similar to Dyno32 along with built in printing, graphing, and data storage ability. It has recently been extensively updated and now includes a much improved "help" program. This newest version of DynoGraph remains compatible with all of the 32 bit Windows operating systems. DynoGraph can be used to save dynamometer measurements into recorded measurement files. These files contain the data from measurements on the devices being tested (engines, motors, vehicles, etc.). They also contain information about the device, the data and time of the test, etc. Up to 100 data points can be included in a test run made with this software. DynoGraph has the built-in ability to print test reports such as graphs of device performance and/or printouts of the measurement data. DynoGraph can also be used to look up previously recorded measurements for comparison with current measurements. The reports that can be produced by the DynoGraph software include Torque vs. Speed (RPM or MPH or KMPH), Power vs. Speed, % Torque Rise vs. Speed, and a printed report of the actual measurement data. These reports can be produced from the current measurement data and also from previously recorded data files. Download the latest version of the DynoGraph dynamometer Software.

Dyno32 Ver 5.00 -- Dynamometer Display and Recording Software:

This software provides the ability to display the information generated by the dynamometer system on the screen of a Windows compatible computer system. Selected measurements can also be saved ("recorded") for printing and/or data analysis on the Windows computer system. The recorded data files are formatted so that they can be easily "imported" into other Windows software programs (such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Notepad, etc.) for printing, graphing, or other additional analysis. There is no limit to the number of measurements which can be recorded by this software during a test run, so it is especially well suited for prolonged test runs. DynoDsp Ver 4.90 -- Dynamometer Display and Recording Software:

This software is a "new and improved" program that is very similar to Dyno32 in its capabilities. It is the result of an extensive "re-write" of the Dyno32 program and has many new capabilities. This program is no longer compatible with Win95, Win98, WinMe, and WinNT. DynoDsp now keeps all of the measurement data in a single "registered" data file. DynoDsp is able to print its reports directly to Windows printers so there is no need to use other Windows programs for this job. The "export" file used to transfer measurment data to other programs (such as Microsoft Excel) now works more easily and better and is generated (as needed) from the recorded data files. DynoDsp provides a place for the user to enter their Company Information so that it can be included in the print reports and also in the export files. DynoDsp detects and lists the serial ports actually present in the PC and thus makes the job of finding the correct serial port much easier. The version available for download is a "Beta-Test" version which consists of the new program plus an "old" style help program. The release version of DynoDsp is expected to come in a few months and will include a new style Help Program. Installation of DynoDsp will not remove any existing installation of Dyno32 so it is possible to install DynoDsp in addition to your existing installation of Dyno32. HpcFsu Ver 1.013 -- Factory Setup Software for the Ries Labs, Inc. Horsepower Computers:

The main "end user" function of this software is to set up the "push-button" calibration features of ST-2400S horsepower computers. The software is used to edit and then send the torque span calibration value of the device used to calibrate the torque readout to the ST-2400S horsepower computer. The calibration device can be a torque test fixture (dead weight torque test fixture), load cell shunt calibration resistor, etc.). SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY:

These programs are 32 bit Windows applications and are generally compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, etc. (Note: Some programs are now compatible only with Win2000 and newer versions of Windows). There are no special requirements as to the speed of the CPU, amount of memory, amount of disk space, etc. If your computer can run one of the campatible versions of Windows, it ought to run this software without difficulty.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Your PC must have a serial port, a USB port plus a USB to Serial converter, or a Serial Port adapter board. A standard serial extension cable is used to connect your PC to the Model ST-2400S horsepower computer. A special serial interface cable is required to connect your PC to the Model 2000S horsepower computer.
