Greetings from Missouri!
I've been into GIjOEs since 1964. Soon
after, my mom bought me my first Adventure Team Commander. That
was my favorite childhood Joe. I started collecting them again
as an adult in the past year, and I plan to save them all for
my little ones when they grow up.
Currently, I'm a medically retired LAPD
police officer living in Missouri. I'm not a GIjOE expert but
these guys seem to bring back a good part of my childhood and
my little girls (especially my 6 year old) love the Adventure
Team animals as well.
I had a collection of WW2 joes and figures
for a while, but did not like them as much as the AT Joes, so
I sold them all off. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my collection
and dioramas!

Holy Pyramids! Check out this GIANT play area and diorama. And
check out the cool lighting that lures you inside!

Dan tells us, "The
pyramid is constructed of Styrofoam and setup in a section of
my garage."

Pull back and you see
the Nile river, a scale wooden dock, tied-up rescue raft and
well-placed reeds all along the river bank. How fantastic is
THIS?
Dan tells us, "The water area is actually a liquid plastic
(found in a local hobby shop) poured over a painted base."

Dan clearly has a good
eye for setting up his displays. Here, an Afro-Adventurer mans
his communications outpost,
while another has just discovered a Mummy's Tomb...somewhere
in the Sahara. Cool!

Fun underwater setup showing a Deep Sea Diver, Sea Wolf submarine
and a great underwater backdrop.

Pan to the left and you see that this diorama is larger than
first thought, revealing a full-size boat and an orange-suited
scuba diver!

Elsewhere, a peek inside Dan's "hospital" reveals it
is fully stocked and ready for any emergency.

A closeup of a table shows Dan's collection of miniature 1/6th
scale medical accessories. Look at the scissors and hypo. WOW!

This wall displays a fully appointed AT headquarters set, numerous
AT Joes and a lineup of AT animals.
Dan tells us, "The headquarters diorama is set up in my
front room." Thanks for sharing these photos Dan!
