 Hello 1:6 scale and GIjOE Fans!
I received my first GIjOEs
as a child during the 1960s. Then, I concentrated on collecting
the "war time" military Joes as a young teen before
turning my interests toward girls. Now, many years later, I've
started collecting them all over again. Today, I have mostly
modern reproduction Joes, but I am still happy to have a "representative"
collection of that great early Joe era. The repros still give
me an amazingly nostalgic feeling that just won't let go.
I absolutely LOVE the club convention Joes from the early 2000's
such as the "Pegasus", "Battle of Kursk"
and "Leyte Gulf" sets. I am all about WW2, D-Day, the
Invasion of Fortress Europe and anything else that Hasbro or
the club put out related to those topics. Of course, there are
many other amazing 1:6 figures out there now and a practically
endless supply, with super poseability and headsculpts. However,
my customizing and collecting preferences focus on Joes with
kung-fu grip and adorned with realistic combat gear.
Currently, my collection has about 5 dozen figures, all of which
are GIjOEs except for 3 DID 101st airborne, 1 James Bond (OHMSS)
and 1 Elite Brigade Canadian Commando for D-Day.
Thank you Mark for listing all of these amazing collections on
one great website. I can't get enough of looking at them all.
