Welcome to the amazing, customized vehicles and aircraft of Robert H. Owner: Robert H. Aliso Viejo, CA E-mail: n/a On Christmas, 1964, my brother and I each received a GIjOE from Santa Claus... They were an instant hit with us and we spent hours playing with our favorite action figures over the next few years. Although I had only one Joe as a child, my parents bought me numerous uniform sets over the years between 1964 and 1967. In fact, I still have all my original sets in reasonably good condition! I gave my original GIjOE and all of his outfits to my eldest son as a present for one of his birthdays. I renewed my interest in collecting GIjOE in 1994 when I was out shopping for toys for my first son and came across some Joes at Toys R Us and Target. Since then, I've purchased over 350 GIjOEs and 12" Star Wars action figures for my two boys and myself. Additionally, I bought about 35 to 40 vehicles and aircraft from a variety of manufactures such as Hasbro, 21st Century, Formative International, James DeSimone, Mattel, etc. Some of these vehicles / aircraft have been customized and painted, while others are displayed in their original condition. Some of the vehicles I've modified are based upon pictures from the Central Illinois GIjOE Collector's Club meetings, specifically Mark Otnes' MX-25 and Tony Carducci's Barbie glamor party jet. Additionally, I built a 12-foot battleship for my WW2 American and Japanese sailors to share. The action figures we have now are primarily Hasbro, with a rare Ultimate Soldier or Dragon figure thrown in. As a WW2 Pacific War history buff, the figures in my personal collection tend to be oriented toward that period with uniforms from 21st Century for the Japanese soldiers and In the Past Toys for the Japanese sailors.
