I started picking
up Joes when my boys were 5 and 6.
I wanted them to enjoy them as much as
I did when I was a kid. After a while, however, I realized that
they weren't playing with them as much as I was! I finally admitted
I was hooked and that I truly enjoy building and photographing
scenes and collecting GIjOEs.
Here's just a very small sample of my collection
and my passion.

(Right- Robert seen reacting
to opening a gift of a GIjOE courier motorcyle.
You can just see his mind flashing forward..."I know where
I can put this in my next photo set-up!")

This is just a great action shot in anyone's book. You can practically
HEAR these German soldiers grunting as they quickly load their
big Pak 40, and then a thundering BOOM as it powerfully recoils.
WOW!

Another great shot that shows a
nice bridge and very good composition. A good photo tells a story,
and this one speaks volumes. Looks like 'ol Fritz the motorcyclist
guy might be thinking of trying to get around our vigilant MP.
But the MPs friend, "Mr. Garand" might have something
to say about that idea. Don'tcha think? Great arrangement, Robert.

Here Robert captures an exciting moment in time that tells another
story. The officer on top of the bunker peers over the blast
shield looking through binoculars, directing fire onto the unseen,
hapless allies below.

Oh, this picture is SWEET. Look at how powerful that Stuart looks,
and I bet you've seen a thousand pictures of this baby. It's
the strong angle of the sunlight and shadow that adds to its
"heft" in this shot. And again, great composition overall.
Looking from left to right, you just FEEL you're in there with
the action. Kind of a "Saving Private Ryan" type of
a moment.

TWO Bradley fighting vehicles disgourge modern troops during
maneuvers somewhere in Europe. Robert really knows how to frame
the action.

General Lee directs a small skirmish, somewhere in the Southern
part of the U.S. during the Civil War. Check out Robert's hand-crafted
log fence. Oh, yeah!

Yes, this is a pull-back
shot showing an ENTIRE compound that Robert created for some
of his scenes. Note the barbed wire along the top, the realistic
tin-roofed quanset hut, the 4' tall watch tower. AMAZING!

A simple yet POWERFUL smoke effect makes this shot a real keeper.

Yes, Robert builds his own burned out villages too. What? You
can't do that? Sure you can!
