Welcome to the amazing
custom vehicles of
I first bought a figure from a catalog that sold military books and videos. Soon after, it snowballed into an much larger collection. Now I collect because I like to create and photograph 1/6th scale scenes, using 12" action figures and vehicles. My dream is to create photo stories like those seen in comic books. When 21st Century Toys added vehicles to their 12" action figure line, I came up with ideas to customize 1/6th scale vehicles by adding extra accessories, custom paint and interchanging parts. The pictures on this page include such creations as my custom Adventure Team RV with solar panels, radar and satellite dish on top, a 4-wheeled Trouble "Scooter" (note the spelling, HA) AND my new "Albatross" helicopter, which is used by my arctic team. I also love military war planes from the Vietnam era and just about anything that's military (and flies) will do it for me. The credit for the custom AT yellow VTOL spy aircraft and the Navy A-4 Skyhawk (built in 2002) go to Diorama Dreams. I've been a collector of 12"
action figures since 1996 when
Hasbro reproduced their vintage GIjOEs. Like some collectors
out there, I never got to play with this great toy when I was
a kid, so now I am making up for a lot of lost time (being almost
50 years of age). Collecting GIjOEs is a fun hobby that allows
me to use my imagination and I think it comes across very well
when you look at some of my photos.
