Who Plays What

Raquel Ramos, vocalist
Singing in her native Portuguese and occasionally in English, Raquel's cool, relaxing voice takes you to the heart of Brazil, with all its warm people, luxurious landscape and amazing music.
Pat Smith, nylon string guitar
The tropical quality of nylon stringed guitar is responsible in large part for the unique atmosphere of Brazilian music. Guitarist Pat Smith possesses the light touch of the strings needed to bring this style to life in signature fashion. And Nossa Bossa's arrangements leave ample room for Pat's luxurious, world-class jazz improvisations. (Check out Pat's Artist Launch Page )
Bill Walker, electric piano and Hammond B3 organ
The warm, vintage tones of the Hammond B3 organ and a Fender Rhodes electric piano for the moodier, more reflective songs, helps Bill create the classic fusion sound that is the hall mark of modern Brazilian music. Listen for first-rate jazz improvisations, coupled with double duty on the bass line.
Keith Wald, drums
Complex rhythms and rhythmic variations form the backbone of Brazilian music. Drummer Keith Wald delivers intricate Baião, Xaxado, Samba, Bossa, Choro, and Partido Alto rhythms with accuracy, skill and that special grace that makes you want to leap to your feet and dance.
Tammy Bueno, percussion, vibes
The cool, distinctive sound of vibes lends a jazz sophistication to Nossa Bossa's sound. And Tammy's mastery of Brazilian percussion borders on the obsessive. Her attention to detail and extensive collection of percussion instruments is not only pleasing to the ear, it adds a wonderful visual dimension as well. Listen and watch for rain sticks, chimes and real goat's toes!
